Overview

The DualShock 4 is Sony's controller for the PlayStation 4. It introduced a front-facing touchpad, a light bar for player identification and in-game interaction, and a built-in speaker.

History

Released alongside the PS4 in November 2013, the DualShock 4 was a significant redesign from the DualShock 3. The touchpad, light bar, and improved analog sticks made it one of the most versatile controllers of its generation. Two hardware revisions were produced (CUH-ZCT1 and CUH-ZCT2).
